Summer 2025 Newsletter
Greetings from Helensville and Waiheke Island
We hope that you are well and happy and looking forward to some exciting adventures in 2026.
We have conducted four highly successful tours in 2025 and we will be doing the same in 2026. We were also proud to launch our completely refreshed website recently and it is brimming with photos and all the information needed to plan your next tour. Take a look and let us know what you think.
We already have a high level of bookings for next year's offerings and all of our tours are filling quickly so we encourage you to book as soon as possible to secure your ride.
Our tour prices have not increased since 2022 as we have chosen to absorb higher operational costs rather than passing them on to you. It’s likely we will not be able to hold our costs this low after 2026 so book now for a competitive tour price.
Our 2026 Tours
Himalayas - 'Over the Top'
Our popular ‘riders ride’ across some of the world’s highest passes is confirmed for June 2026 and is filling up fast.
Join us as we ascend to some of the world's highest roads climbing from our starting point in Shimla and travelling through the Satluj and Spitti valleys, finishing up in the mountain city of Leh at 3300 metres above sea level. This unforgettable mountain journey is the ultimate riding adventure.
Check out the adventure that our participants had this last July on the Himalayas tour facebook page.
South India
Our 2026 South India tour departs on mid January 2026 and is now fully booked. The good news is that we have just confirmed our January 2027 dates as we have had an unprecedented level of interest in this beautiful ride across the sub-continent.
This tour offers a unique insight into this tropical land with its kaleidoscope of spices, temples, Hindu culture, maritime way of life and surprising colonial history. See the website for details.
Rajasthan
Touring here in October just reinforced how special this part of India is. The winding back roads through small villages, incredible history, stunning forts and palaces and most importantly, the people.
There is something here for everyone and it’s no surprise we’ve been touring this region for over 30 years.
Check out our website for lots of incredible pics from this colourful, vibrant state.
Our next Rajasthan tour departs Delhi on 18th October 2026 and we currently have just 4 bikes remaining.
Not a rider but want to join us?
We are often asked if non-riders can join our tours - and the answer is yes!
This is a great option for partners and friends of riders or even solo travellers who are just keen to experience the adventure of India without being on a motorcycle.
You'll still see all the same incredible places and be part of the group - just from the comfort of our modern back up vehicle.
We currently have room for non-riders in all of our upcoming tours so feel free to get in touch with us for more information.
Nepal 2026
As you read this our return tour in the mountain kingdom of Nepal is underway. We expect to offer this tour again in 2026. Dates will be announced in the next month or so and if you want to be on the list for this ride, please let us know.
In the meantime, you can follow along on this years ride via the Nepal 2025 Tour facebook page.
Time to plan your 2026 adventure?
If you have been waiting for adventure, now is a good time to book tours for 2026 as there are often great flight deals available in December and January. Get in touch if you have any questions or if you would like to make a booking. We look forward to riding with you.

Radio NZ Interview Celebrating 25 Years Touring
In our 25th year of touring India, Steve talks to Radio New Zealand host Jesse Mulligan about what has changed in this incredible country over the last 25 years (spoiler alert, the roads are better) and what has stayed the same. You can listen to the full interview here.
Bitten by the Bullet
Bitten by the Bullet is an entertaining account of how Steve Krzystyniak and his partner Lily came to set up and operate an innovative motorcycle tour company that takes small parties through the north-western Indian state of Rajasthan and other parts of India & Nepal.
Co-authored by Steve & travel write Karen Goa, the book was adapted into a radio series by Radio New Zealand.
The narrative jumps between two storylines – the tour group which co-author Karen and her husband were a part of, and Steve's accounts his and Lily's intrepid visits to temples, palaces and bustling markets on their trusty Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycles.
You can listen to the complete reading here.
Signed books available for NZ$20 including postage within New Zealand. Please email us to order a copy.
