Steve is a zoologist & builder originally from London. Lily hails from the Wairarapa and spent many years working as a midwife and nurse. After meeting in 1990 we sailed extensively in the South Pacific before building a home on Waiheke Island & later moving to Helensville.

Our love affair with India started in 1998 when travelled extensively through Rajasthan and the south. We then turned our passion into a business and started tours, making many wonderful friends along the way.

We have now been the proud owner-operators of Indian Motorcycle Adventures Ltd for over 25 years.

Kamal is from Narkanda, a village in the foothills of the Himalayas. He has been our partner since we commenced the mountain rides 15 years ago and now conducts all of our tours bringing a unique flavour to your journey through his own backyard bringing his own style, insight and humour.

Kamal has lifelong experience of the areas in which we tour and and has many friends along the way, many of whom you will get to meet on your journey. 

Sanju is from Pragpur in Himachel Pradesh but now lives in Delhi. He has also been with us from day one and drives our back up van as well as many other duties in the background. He supports us on the road as a tail end Charlie and keeps our van containing all your luggage, spare wheels, parts and passengers safe and comfortable.

As well as this, Sanju is an excellent photographer and you’ll catch him behind the camera when he is not driving.

Imran is from Patna in Bihar and runs his own Bullet workshop in Delhi when he is not on tour with us. Has been with the company since we started 25 years ago and is an expert Royal Enfield mechanic.

There is very little Imran does not know about the workings of a Bullet! From a quick wheel change on the road to daily bike checks after our ride, he works tirelessly in the background to keep the wheels turning smoothly.

Anna is part of Steve & Lily’s family and first travelled to India with them in 2006. She has recently joined Indian Motorcycle Adventures as our office manager.

Based on Waiheke with her husband and two girls, she will be guiding you through the entire booking process and will answer any questions you may have.

Anna loves to travel and is looking forward to returning to Rajasthan in 2025.
